Security Fencing

FORGINEX™ Palisade Steel Security Fencing

Palisade fencing is used in and around many industries, public places and high security sites. Standard selections of pale heads are kept in stock for the most common heights of fencing, other heights are manufactured to order. The most common pale head being the Triple Pointed and splayed, our type “A”. The “W” section profile being the most secure and robust.

Most applications have the posts set into the ground and anchored in position by encasing a portion of the upright in concrete below ground level. Where there is a solid substrate to fix to, surface mounted posts can be manufactured with a suitable base plate for bolting down. Post centres are an industry standard of 2.75m, with horizontal rails connected through the posts with link plates, and at corners with a corner link plates. Once the posts are set upright the horizontal rails can be connected between them. Pales are offered up into position and bolted in place with high security anti tamper fixings.

Depending on the height of the fence there will be one or two “support feet” connected to the lower horizontal rail. They provide support to prevent “sagging” of the fence over a period of time. They are fixed between a pale and the rail and are either set into the ground with the posts, or bolted to a suitable substrate.

Undulating ground is accommodated simply by installing the posts between the two points of incline/decline. The horizontal rails are attached between the two points. The pales are then installed in the vertical position (See diagram 1.2).
